Fresh Apple Cake
 
Ingredients
Cake
  • ½ cup butter, softened (oil will work as well)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups raw apples, chopped finely
  • ½ cups chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Topping
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Combine butter and sugar for the cake; add beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with the chopped apples and nuts to the butter mixture.
  2. Put into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
  3. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle evenly over the cake batter.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
