I can’t believe it’s already December. I’m scared I’m going to blink and it will be 2015! Time needs to slow down just a little so we can enjoy the season. This post from Hands Free Mama is a great reminder to slow down and be fully present this month.
We spent the weekend before Thanksgiving with my husband’s family doing a craft show. The stomach bug started hitting our family while were were there. That’s always miserable. Thankfully, it was pretty much a 24 hour bug and nobody had it during the car ride. 🙂 We were staying in town for Thanksgiving this year, and that ordeal made us thankful! We decided to forgo the traditional turkey dinner and had chicken fajitas instead. Way easier and still yummy. I loved not having to spending hours cooking and cleaning. We might as well save a meal that time intensive for when everyone would actually enjoy it.
Everyone was feeling better Friday and we went to get our Christmas tree. I think the holidays are going to be pretty fun with a 3 1/2 year old. She had a blast!
We also brought out holiday baking! These are in my top 3 Christmas Cookies. We all love them. But then again, how can you go wrong with lots of butter? This recipe will be coming in another week!
This weekend we have a small, local craft show we are taking part in – the last one for the year. I have it high on my priority list to open up an Etsy shop. I was hoping it would happen this weekend, but maybe early this week!
Homemade mayo is pretty tasty! This was also my first time to purchase (or even eat, I believe) arugula! I found it marked down and decided  to branch out. 🙂
