Menu Plan and Goals

Our church does the children’s Christmas program Saturday night and Sunday morning. We went Saturday. It was a relaxing Sunday getting to stay home, spend a while in our PJs and not have to rush cooking lunch.

Menu Plan and Goals @ From this Kitchen Table

I spent time this weekend getting gifts ready for my church staff party. Hopefully they’ll all turn out: some snacks, sugar scrubs, and room spray! It’s been fun experimenting but the kitchen definitely hasn’t been clean much.

We are going to attempt our little trip we cancelled a couple of weeks ago because of weather once again. Here’s hoping none of the rest of us catch my husband’s cold and it actually happens.

Breakfasts:

  • Cranberry Pineapple Smoothies
  • Yogurt and Granola

Lunches:

  • Leftover  Spaghetti
  • Leftover White Bean Chicken Chili (yep, made it again this week)
  • Baked Sweet Potatoes and Russets (for Shaun, strange guy doesn’t like sweet potatoes)

Suppers:

  • Spaghetti
  • White Bean Chicken Chili
  • Staff Party (supposed to bring a main dish and dessert)
  • Scrambled eggs
  • Gone???

Goals: (keeping it super simple this week)

  • Finish staff party and family gifts
  • Clean for company
  • Read some of Pride and Prejudice
  • Vacation!

This week continues all things Christmas at From this Kitchen Table. (Find all the posts here.) Be sure to come back this week for a fabulous recipe for a gingerbread latte and more! You can follow us on Facebook or subscribe by e-mail to be sure you don’t miss out!

So do I! The weather will be perfect for Silver Dollar City so crossing my fingers no one else gets sick. If we can’t go, I might just have to do some baking. 🙂 Oh my goodness, they are so good! I love cranberries.

Thanks for dropping by. I agree with Cara the Cranberry Pineapple Smoothies sound very good. I could picture 1/2 of one for an afternoon pick me up around 230 or 3 when I start to drag. Happy vacationing!

They are super good! I love tart flavors, so they are one of my favorites. Thanks! I think it’s actually happening. My husband is feeling better and the kids and I are fine. Yay!!!

My husband doesn’t like sweet potatoes either. So we always have russets with the sweet potatoes at our house too. I hope you can make your trip this week. Have a great week.

That’s funny – maybe it’s a guy thing (or maybe if you grew up eating them). I love them with butter, salt, and pepper! It looks like the trip is happening. We leave tomorrow and my husband is feeling better and the kids and I haven’t gotten it. Hooray! Now to clean and pack. Thanks, you have a great week as well!
